Speed up, you!

There are very few things in this world I love more than people who talk quick and get to the point quickly. My mother can attest, I’m naturally impatient person for few things and surprisingly, for me, patient for others.

When I started listening to podcasts, some hosts would speak so slow that it killed the joy of learning about a new topic. So when I found increasing playback speed, my joy knew no bounds. It can lead to awkward incidents though, I used to listen to IVM’s Shunya One podcast with 1.7x speed and when I met the host, I was taken aback how slow he’d speak 😂

I tried increasing playback speeds for the TV series I watch, but haven’t found the right fit yet. When it’s podcast, at the max you’re listening to 2-3 people. When it’s a TV series, there are multiple people involved the variance is just too high. I’ve tried from 1.4x to 1.6x, it just doesn’t seem right.
