Life Update
I’m still living it up in Bombay at I’s place, and we’ve been indulging in some seriously amazing food experiences. From going ham on insanely delicious meat dishes to diving deep into the world of Bengali cuisine, it’s been a culinary adventure. The Lau Chingri, made with lauki (bottle gourd) and prawns, absolutely blew my mind. I never knew lauki could taste so damn good! We also couldn’t resist hitting up the street food scene, crushing momos left and right. It’s been a blast catching up with I and my Bombay crew, making unforgettable memories over incredible meals.
Speaking of new experiences, I’ve taken on a mission to convert I from instant coffee to the specialty coffee life. It’s been a gradual process, but we’re making steady progress. I’ve discovered that I has a preference for dark roasts.
Watched
This week, we watched “The Day of the Jackal” on Jiocinema, and boy, do I have some thoughts. Despite the show’s rave reviews, I found the writing to be a complete mess. I and I couldn’t help but rip apart the plot holes in every single episode. It was hard to believe that we were watching the same show that everyone else seemed to love. Maybe we’re just too critical, but it was a disappointing viewing experience overall.
Side Projects
BCBCBath
- ✅ Nailed it with Google Books API image fetching
- ✅ Pagination is on point now – all Potlucks are ready to party
On the project front, I’m thrilled to report that I nailed the Google Books API image fetching for BCBCBath. It’s a major milestone that I’m really proud of. I also tackled pagination, so now all the Potlucks are easily accessible and ready to party. Next on my agenda is a serious UI makeover. The current layout feels way too extra and spaced out. I want to streamline the design and create a cleaner, tighter interface. It’s going to be a challenge, but I’m excited to dive in and give BCBCBath the sexy new look it deserves.
Read
Okay, real talk – I’m gonna be honest here. I didn’t read a single thing this week. I know, I know, I should be ashamed. But between all the socializing with I and the gang, reading just didn’t make it to the top of my priority list. But I’m not going to beat myself up about it. Instead, I’m making a commitment to carve out some quality reading time next week. No excuses, no distractions. I’m going to make it happen.
