Netflix To Flip TV Industry In India?

Netflix might be coming to India, reports TNW. If it’s true, Netflix might bring US TV series to India as and when it broadcasts, which means three things – 

1. No need to wait for network channels to bring US TV shows to India.
2. I can pay for my favorite series instead of depending on Torrents.
3. On demand videos.

Of course, if Netflix comes to India, it might also have have to licence Indian content including TV serials, Bollywood movies and regional content. And boi, that’s a huge investment. Which is why I believe it might end up partnering with exsisting licencees in India.

Unlike in the US, content producers in India are very accepting of licencing their content to everyone and anyone, at an acceptable cost. Looks like exciting time for TV industry.
